The inquiry method in learning mathematics at the secondary level

Education is training aimed at training and enhancing the skills and abilities of students. In Peru, it is subordinated to the Ministry of Education, which must ensure respect and the correct dissemination of knowledge far and wide. from the country. Within education there are elements such as competencies and skills that are being reinforced by the Regular Basic Education Curricular Program. Within this program, learning is an imperative, since as a cognitive process it helps students to cope with greater urgency within the problems that arise on a daily basis. There are various types of learning that will help the student take advantage of the knowledge taught, but these have to be linked to various theories so that students can grasp all the knowledge provided.

The Regular Basic Education Curricular Program is made up of several curricular areas, one of them is the area of mathematics, which has triangles among its topics. This topic is fundamental for the optimal development of mathematics, because several theories, properties and formulas are derived from it and are taught among its various branches. However, there is a major problem that the Peruvian educational system addresses, which is the lack of preparation in terms of teaching and learning on the part of teachers and this results in the lack of preparation of students. Which cannot supply all the knowledge necessary to achieve the agreed goals throughout the year.

This is why there is a need to innovate the educational system, in such a way that it is able to separate itself from learning based on memory and the repetition of formulas, theories and properties that are taught by the teacher. A method that can help carry out this task is the investigative method, since it is based on the self-education of the student, without separating the idea of the teacher who must be in constant supervision. In this way, the student will be able to counteract the deficiencies of the educational system, through a method that helps him to know the basic, pragmatic and necessary principles to develop in a real environment and with various variables that are executed at random. This in conjunction with a teaching system that can withstand all the vicissitudes that come with carrying out a new and innovative system in the educational system.
