Workplace stress environments are those in which employees are exposed to factors that can trigger stress as well as job dissatisfaction. Work stress can affect job satisfaction in various ways: decreasing motivation, reducing commitment, increasing burnout, deteriorating mental health, among others.
At a financial and economic level, work stress causes a decrease in productivity, increases health costs, deteriorates the environment and organizational climate, contributing to the loss of human talent, among others. For this reason, it is urgent and necessary at a global level to counterattack this hidden and silent enemy from an individual and business perspective, which is developed in this book and is based on scientific research in the hotel sector.
